University of Pedagogical Sciences "Hector Alfredo Pineda Zaldivar" (UCPETP) is a center of Higher Education for teachers located in the capital of the Republic of Cuba, which has the purpose of training teachers to teach vocational subjects == History== The creation of the university has its origins in a project of the Organization of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) requested by the Cuban government. Originally called Pedagogical Institute of Technical Education (ISPET) and settled in the Student Center of Agricultural Sciences (CEDCA), in the municipality Cattle.
